Is there a diffuser on the bottom of the shade or is it just open? This will be mounted above eye level and concerned about seeing bare bulb.

BEST ANSWER: At eye level, you will not see the bulb sticking above the shade. From the top, it is open, there is no drum covering the bulb. Hope this helps.
Can this be use with a dimmer?

BEST ANSWER: No it does not operate like a table lamp. It is hard wired to a switch. We purchased these lamps and are very happy with the quality and appearance!

BEST ANSWER: Hi - no, the total height is 9-inches. The shade by itself is 5-inches. It sticks up a little beyond the wallplate.

Love This Wall Sconce
We replaced a more traditional fixture by our back door with this fixture and the more transitional style is just what we wanted. We liked it so well that we also replaced the wall sconce in our stairway with this same fixture. The other was so difficult to replace the bulb in a hard to reach area, this one is super easy.

Pros: Attractive Design, Great Value, Easy To Assemble, Diffused Light

Great piece, great price, great service!
Love this piece. Have been looking to replace our bedroom sconce. Found this one and it is perfect! One thing to consider- coordinating sheets and curtains. Although neutral, that is something to think about before purchasing.
We did have ours arrive warped and got a replacement ASAP. I just had to send a photo and they took care of the rest. Great service!

Nice little wall lamp.
A well make little wall mount lamp. Came with everything needed to install it on the box. Only drawback was to mount it with the color matched nuts required getting the depth of the bolts just right. It would be easier if color matched bolts were provided.
