  • Cut it to size. The trim should fit snug around the circumference of the shade so remember the old adage: measure twice, cut once.
  • Apply clear fabric glue. Whether you apply it directly to the lamp shade or trim is a matter of preference. Do what seems best given your combination of trim style and placement.
Lastly, let your project dry for a few hours. Clothespins or even lightly applied clear tape can be used to hold the trim in place for drying, as long as they don't leave any permanent marks or indentations on the trim or lamp shades.
