Muted colors
I ordered the lamp because I wanted a bright shade with colors that "popped" and added color to the room. The shade looks bright just as it does in the pictures, and looks great in the room, but when it's turned on, the colors are very muted. I used a 40w bulb, but the colors just lighten up when the light is on. It's a quality lamp, but the shade was very disappointing.

Response from Lamps Plus
Hi Linda - We're sorry that you didn't like how the shade looks on your new lamp when the light is turned on! This is listed as having a "translucent" shade, which means that the light shines strongly through. We recommend getting an "opaque" shade next time. If you need any help, feel free to contact our customer service team via chat, email, or phone.
