We used 4 of these lights on our back porch. 1 to each post. We wanted a barn light look on our 1900's house that still gave great illumination (as these lights have to sit a bit low with a sloped back porch). These were a perfect solution! In this setting, they look more like a barn light than seaside. BUT would be perfect by the pool, an ocean/lake house too. The seeded glass hides dirt and is a beautiful feature as well. You cant really appreciate the glass till you have the product in hand. Looks like an expensive light and casts a beautiful glow, lighting up our back porch and beyond (we have 5 acres with only farmland as neighbors). Have had up about 4 months, finish is still good so far through rain and snow.
