Does this light sit flush against the wall or is there space under the backplate for a shallow circular electrical box?
Phil R on Oct 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The square back plate that you see in the photo is flush with the wall. The electrical wires are inside the siding on my house. I think this is a great contemporary look for any style home.

Beautifully simple design.
This light has a very clean, minimal design and was simple to install. Because the top of the lamp is solid, it does not cast as much light over the whole porch. We will probably replace it with a motion sensor light soon, and move this light to a side door.
Matthis light at night.

High quality and awesome design
I haven't installed these lights yet, but I'm very excited. They came in a secure package, and had no physical damage. The quality and design looks like I paid top dollar. Will (and have) bought from Lamps Plus again.

I'll try and update the review once I have them installed.

Died just after warranty period
Looked and worked great for the 12.5 months that it worked. Order delivered 10/1/19 and installed within the week; light died yesterday 10/19/20. Since it's a built in LED, you can't just replace the bulb. This will be the first and last fixture I buy from Lamps Plus.

Does not last
Have had 3 of these die, having lasted only 15-30 months with limited use. As other reviewers have noted, it is LED so expectation is it would have lasted much longer, especially considering the bulb CAN NOT be changed, the entire fixture must be replaced. Good looking light but short life span is entirely unacceptable.

Response from Lamps Plus
Hi - Generally LED lights have around a 30,000 hour life span depending on usage. The one downside is that their components can be sensitive to heat. We will have our tech team reach out to you to investigate and help you out. Thank you for the comments.
