The best Tiffany-style lamps are the ones that infuse warmth, character, and classic style into your space. This mica desk lamp features a natural mica shade that glows with a warm, inviting style. The shade features real mineral mica laminated on a polystyrene backing. The mica is then varnish coated to achieve the final look. Please note that slight variations in color and pattern may occue due to the use of the natural mica material.

How is the shade attached to lamp? I have a similar lamp and the shade rests on three prongs from the base. It falls off all the time. I am looking for a more secure way for the lampshade to be attached to base.

Does the shade color show more burgandy or orange ?

BEST ANSWER: Funny, the "burgundy" thing never jumped out at me but I know what you're talking about now, LOL. When the light is off, the color of the shade is deeper, and color seems to really depend on the ambient lighting in the room. When the light is ON, the shade glows a sort of reddish gold--they are absolutely stunning. I like the variances in color personally--can't tell you how lovely these lamps are, on or OFF. Hope that helps ;o]

BEST ANSWER: The light shines through the shade if that's what you mean, it doesn't stay dark. It takes on a warm rust colored hue.

Beautiful and stately lamp
We recently removed a parson's table from our vestibule, replacing it with a mission-style bookcase. I wanted a handsome, not-too-tall lamp to compliment the bookcase and provide warm lighting for the vestibule. These lamps are simply beautiful. I love the double pulls which allow you to determine how much light you want. I also love the way the mica shades warm up the area. These are lovely lamps at any price, but particularly nice at this price.

Pros: Generous Length Cord, Classic Lines, Well Built, Gentle Soft Glow, Good Size

nice lamp...
This is a nice looking lamp, be advised that the inside of the shade is not amber too...it is white. I have it on a glass covered desk and the reflection is a little harsh in the glass under the light. Otherwise this is a good looking, heavy, craftsman looking lamp.

We have 2 of these lamps for each side of the bed. they are great for us..placed on nightstands they aren't too bright and allow us to begin the transition from bright computer screens and overhead lights to... it's time for sleep! If you use it on your desk as they are intended,I think they would be perfect because it's right next to your paperwork. Also, these lamps actually look more expensive than they are...which is always a plus!

An Elegant Desk Lamp
I've had this lamp for about a year, and have enjoyed it very much. I bought it after seeing one at a friend's home. I use it in my study where it provides background lighting (I have a draftsman lamp for reading). The lamp is solidly made, and I expect to have it for the rest of my life.

Great lamp! Beautiful.
The lamp arrived safely in only six days, coast to coast. I was impressed with the care taken in the triple-packaging. Enclosed were information pages, but one section recommended either 40 or 60 watt bulbs, which I think was wrong. The lamp requires 40 watt bulbs alone, which came in the box, so the original recommendation was correct. The descriptions of this lamp were accurate on the pleasant and easy to use website. Thank you!

Nice lamp.
We had lights almost exactly like this, on our night stands that we bought locally but my ex wife took them. I was happy I found these. A bit more money then we originally paid however.
