do I need this if I already have the power source and light switch installed?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I wired the power through both switches. The lamps plug into this box. I left this switch on and mounted it behind the cover so it stays hidden. If I recall correctly, from the power wire I connected the ground to the ground of the external switch. I connected the positive from the external switch to the ground on this unit, then the positive on this unit to the positive on the power source. This way both switches must be on for the lights to get power. Please check your wiring.
