With the mica shade, does it put out ample light or is it dimmed somewhat by the mica?

BEST ANSWER: You will get some light emitting from the shade design. But, the majority of the light will emit from the top and bottom of the lamps shade.

Look good from a distance!
My Naomi lamps are attractive with my decor, but when one looks at the lamps up close, the poor construction is obvious.The shades are soldered together very sloppily.

These lamps are beautiful.
Just as pictured. I would put lower watt bulbs in however as the shades seem to increase the brightness in the bedroom.

Perfect touch
I was looking for a non-fabric lamp shade and having mica on my ceiling lights this was a no brainer. I have 2 small night stands that has one lamp on each and they are a perfect fit. The item is sturdy, the assembly was easy and the product is excellent quality. I got them on sale so I was very excited for this great buy and they did not disappoint!
