Used over the dining room table in a somewhat small room. It's on a dimmer light switch. When it's not fully illuminated, there is a soft and lovely glow from the amber glass. When fully bright, the pendant appears white in color, not the lovely amber when the light is off or just dimmed a little. It's extremely easy to change the light bulbs as the center rod moves independently. And because that center rod moves easily, it's very easy to dust the bowl.
The ONLY thing I would change about the design are the three iron "spears" at the base of the bowl. It seems a little "goth" in design. If they were curved it would soften the appearance. But my guests love the whole look of it.

We love it now that it is up. (Looks 5 star Directions 1)We were lucky that my husband has installed more light fixtures than I'd like to admit to. The poorly written/translated instructions tell you to put it all together and then stand on a ladder with iron and glass being held over your head. If you can't read disaster in those instructions, you are younger and stronger than us. Luckily we realized that it could be put up with just the "legs." Then after all of the electrical is done, you can add the base piece of iron and then opening one of the three "legs" add the glass. Much easier and less likely to be frustrated and break something.

I am so happy with this light fixture. It was just what I was looking for. My foyer now looks complete. Everyone who sees it comments on how great it looks.

I was looking for an attractive light fixture for over our small dining table when I found this mission style pendant. It was perfect for my small dining space and attractive is not strong enough when describing just how wonderful this pendant adds to the whole area! I am a budget shopper, but definitely demand quality and a product that is simply beautiful. This one meets all criteria. We purchased two of these pendant lights to hang from the 13ft ridge beam of a vaulted living room ceiling. We hardly needed any of the ample chain supplied. The lights throw a soft glow on the ceiling and work great with dimmers (no hum) when added light is needed. It's easy to change bulbs -- we've tried several colors, pink, amber, etc to try out different effects. Relatively easy to install with two people - one on ladder and one handing up parts. Made in China, one of the pair came with a scratched glass shade and crushed ceramic socket. Return was easy [...] No problems with replacement. We normally spend a lot for lights, but these looked great at very low cost. Glass is better looking than scavo glass imho. They blend beautifully with our antique alabaster lights in the dining room and foyer. Very pleased.
