BEST ANSWER: This console lamp features an on/off switch located on the cord. But, this can be dimmed when paired with dimmable light bulbs and the proper add-on dimmer.

Does the light shine from the bottom of the shade as well or is the base covered/closed underneath the bulb?

BEST ANSWER: The shades bottom is closed for this console lamp.
I like how small this is- do any of you use this as a bedroom lamp? does it give off enough light?

BEST ANSWER: I don't use it as a table lamp, but it is on top of a clothing bureau and it lights up that corner of the bedroom. My Master Bedroom is tough to light because of soaring wood ceiling. This little lamp does a great job when I want light in that area of the room. As a bedside lamp, it would definitely do the trick for reading -- and it has the benefit of having the light bulb covered so it's easy on the eyes!

BEST ANSWER: I can't give you an answer in lbs. It's a nice lamp, not cheesy lightweight. It's one of my favorite accent lamps. I have it on top of a small chest of drawers and it lights up that entire area of the room (no small feat since I'm in one of those modern cabins with soaring ceilings.

BEST ANSWER: No they cannot. I guess you could unscrew one of the bulbs so it wouldn't light, but otherwise, all 3 light up at once. The light is beautiful and we totally love ours. I hope that helps. Mary

piece of junk
i have had this lamp less than 1 month and the switch which is located on the cord (would be better if on the base of the lamp) has already shorted out.

Cons: Poor quality, Poor Design, Flimsy Construction, Short Cord

I would prefer a switch on the base as opposed to the inline switch.

Perfect table lamp
We purchased this beautiful lamp to use as a reading light in our living room. It is easy to assemble and easy to turn on and off. It provides a romantic yellow light in our living room in the evenings. It doesn't take up too much room on our small end table, but still provides a lot of light.

This lamp is beautiful in my foyer. I use smaller wattage bulbs then the maximum to give a soft ambiance. It is a striking piece at a great price. I'm so glad that I purchased it.

We love lamps plus!
We live in Illinois most of the year but also have a condo in Bullhead City Az. We discovered the Lamps Plus store on a visit to Las Vegas. They have everything that we wanted in that store and the prices were very good. We have purchased a number of items at the store including this lamp which was perfect for what we needed. We were looking for a lamp with a Southwest Look and this was it. We will be back to Lamps Plus many times in the future.
