What are the real proportions of the light fixture, the ones given here seem to be off (24"x 8.5") just looking at the picture and trying to use it in elevations?

BEST ANSWER: The true measurements of the sconce are 24" high x 8 1/2" wide.
Is the height from the wall mount or total height?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Richard - the overall height is 24" from the very top to the very bottom of the fixture.
