Ideal Replacement Light for MCM-style House
Love the light! We replaced an older colonial style light with this sleek light. Perfect for our MCM house.

Love it so far!
So far so good. Installation wasn't too bad. We love the look - a great upgrade to our post in front of our house.

Great looks, poor functional design
This is a really handsome light and it gets 5 stars for aesthetics. It has great presence and looks like a high quality piece from a normal viewing distance. I'll echo other comments though about the poor functional design. It's pretty kloogey to assemble and I will be swearing like a sailor when I have to change the light bulb on this thing - it will require removing 8 hand-tighten knobs and keeping track of 16 rubber washers that sandwich the glass (and are thus probably pretty necessary) and then trying to re-assemble the thing keeping all the washers in place, which will be sort of like trying to build a club sandwich on its side while trying to keep the tomatoes in a specific alignment. it will be easier to bring the whole thing in and do it on a table, but that will require removing it from the pole and disconnecting the electrical connections. So, yeah, changing bulbs will take probably 30 minutes. Also, the center shade doesn't necessarily sit straight, and is hard to assemble without child-sized hands. Finally, I am pretty concerned about the long-term implications of an open design like this, and especially one with pristine clear outer glass. I may have to check in with a longer-term review to see whether bugs and weather start to foul up the look. I'm imagining lots of moth wing dust on the inside of the glass where I can't get into to clean it, and a growing open graveyard pit of dead moths at the bottom of the lamp. Unfortunately for me, I am such a sucker for the look that I'm committing to buying three more to complete my collection. I feel like it's a mistake, but it really does look that good.

Nice lamp...good quality
Great roadside appeal. Just don't like the fact that you have to take top off completley to change bulb. But very satified with my purchase

Not a practical design
Had to return. Realized the openings would allow dirt to get inside and would get quite dirty. And it’s not easy to open it up to clean or replace the light bulb.

Attractive Post Lamp
I was looking for a outdoor light fixture for my new front door that had a matching post light for the brick column by my entryway. This was exactly what I was looking for. It wasn't too hard to assemble and looks great. I'm happy with my purchase.

Perfect design and size
Love it! We bought the yard light (pole mount) and the porch light (wall mount). The design is just the look we wanted; modern but not quite Art Deco.

Crazy difficult to assemble on top of a ladder
I just opened this and there are NO installation instructions. I had to dry fit it in my house to figure out how all the pieces fit. I quickly realized that sitting down and putting it together was difficult. FYI, you have to mount the base plate on the pole first, then get on a ladder to install the rest which requires you to to squeeze your hand down the 12 inch inner glass tube to try and seat it properly (not easy). Then install a bulb. Now for the fun part; 4 sided, fragile glass plates that need to be mounted between two VERY small plastic gaskets, then the supporting external bars on the base and then the top. ALL while standing on a ladder and hoping not to drop the small parts or god forbid, break any of the glass pieces and cut your wrist. Good luck if the bulb ever goes out. You'll have to replicate the process. Hats off to anyone who has done it successfully. As far as quality, yes it's a solid lantern.

Great look but poorly designed.
Looks great but assembly required. Poorly designed. In order to replace a light bulb need to take lamp apart. Hoping the led really lasts 15000 hours.
