The translucent, carved white alabaster glass bowl shade has beautiful veins of solid white running through it. The base features decorative carving and a stunning marbleized font in rich golden browns. Two pull cords operate each of the two individual lights.

paired with amber LED bulbs it gives off a lovely, cozy glow.

BEST ANSWER: This lamp is VERY traditional. A lamp with a burlap shade sounds more contemporary. Unless you have very eclectic taste, you might look for another lamp with a similar style.

Beautiful..only one nagging issue
It is a very good looking lamp, beautiful colors. Still, it is odd that the shade barely covers the lightbulbs (which are the recommended ones). If the lamp is not placed low, you are looking at the bulbs sticking out from the bottom, which is annoying and unsightly. It is not quite like the photo. Would recommend buying a different flatter type of bulb rather than the clasiic round ones.

Cons: odd shade

Wow I made a great choice!!
Bought these lamps for my master bedroom, and they are perfect! I have large furniture, and they are the perfect size.

Finally I see the light!
This makes a great end table lamp. I love the The shades mute the light perfectly giving plenty of light by which to read. The product is well made and was very easy to assemble.

Lamp shade
I love the lamps, I bought 2, however the shades are so short that you cannot avoid the glare from the exposed bulbs. Otherwise they are nice lamps.

A Great Lamp
I am using this lamp on my bedside table. I likemits brilliance and it fits my decor great. I like that there are two pull chains. I hate in-line switches. But I guess they do have a purpose but not in my house. Also, I like the hieght. Of the lamp.
