Kathy Ireland Mulholland 72" High Torchiere Floor Lamp

When I plugged lamp into the wall socket, sparks and a loud pop flashed out of the plug. Lamp did not work at all. Returned the lamp and got a new one a couple of weeks later. Replacement lamp lasted about three months before it quit working. Control switch does not light up and neither does lamp. I am required to take it back to Lamp Plus and have it repaired at my own cost. I am unable to remove glass shade as flimsy ring that locks glass shade in place will not budge. I am guessing that the hot light bulb heated the cheap plastic ring and fused it to the metal. I have to luge the large-heavy lamp with glass shade to the car and somehow get it to Lamps Plus without breaking the shade.

We bought two of these torchieres that light up our family/tv room. They are just perfect for the area because they use 3 way bulbs so you can have a lot of light for reading or low light for mood lighting. I would highly recommend these torchieres for almost any room.

Packing is difficult, as another reviewer noted. Styrofoam apparently was blown into or molded around the lamp parts after they were placed in the box, so styrofoam flies everywhere when you open the carton; it is best to open it outside. That said, the shade was shattered, also as noted by another reviewer. I cut myself reaching down into the box when we got down to the middle layer. Would recommend purchasing in store and not having it shipped. Must return this one.

Followed return instructions for broken item but no refund credit after 15 days.

Everything about the product and company support were great. But the first lamp arrived shattered. I was surprised the box was not marked fragile. The second time the lamp was shipped it was fine but just by luck because the package was still not labeled fragile.

We bought two torchieres for our tv/family room and they are just perfect. They use 3 way lightbulbs so they really light up the area for reading or you can turn them low for mood lighting. They look great and I would highly recommend this light for almost any home or style. We also bought the matching table lamp which is very nice too.

Love this floor lamp. Perfect height for the 9 foot corner of my 9-12 foot vaulted ceiling. Looks beautiful in my great room.

I bought two of these floor lamps, which are beautiful and give off substantial light. They are more monumental than I imagined, but work well in the room. One of the dimmer switches quickly stopped functioning, but a replacement was mailed promptly and easily attached.

They came in just as pictured and are beautiful.

We bought this lamp for a corner of our living room and it's perfect. After we unpacked it I was immediately taken with all the details that just don't stand out in the pictures - especially the carved pole, tortoise shell accent and heavy base. I also love the dimmer switch so we get just the amount of light we want.

The Kathy Ireland Mulholland Torchiere is a very nice floor lamp. I ordered it based on owning the table lamp in this weries and am very please wuth how the two look together in the room. Ordering was easy and shipping was quick, packaging was very secure. All in all a good value for the money.

This is a very attractive floor lamp. A bit heavier than it looked in the booklet, and very tall. I do like it but would advise that you see it in person before purchasing.

The top glass does a great job of distributing the light. I am using a cree 60 w equivalent, and the light covers room. I like the foot dimmer it allows flexibility. Very sturdy lamp, easy assembly.

The lamp looks very nice, both on and off. The dimmer works well with LED bulbs.

However, the assembly leaves a little to be desired. The bulb socket is not centered and thus it is impossible to get the shade to sit perfectly level.

The glass font below the torchier base is not mounted inline and tilts slightly.

It takes a bit of strong-arming to the get the pole vertical on a level floor. Supplied levelling pads are a poor option given the square base design.

We bought two lamps and they suit us well enough to keep.

Poles would not screw in together properly so leans to one side. Have to place a leveler under base

It's not that I don't like my lamp but they send you a different torchiere. It is not the one presented in the picture so if you're not picky it will do. I truly think they need to send you what you pick in the picture. Isn't that the best kind of customer service?
