How does this attach to the wall?
George M on Jan 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There is a flat plate with 4 holes to attach the lamp to the wall.
Why would the on/off switch be placed on the cord where it is behind the picture and therefore unreachable?
roger on Dec 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Roger, That is a great question that you will have to talk to the designer my opinion it should have been placed within a couple of feet of the plug or not have included the switch at all. If it's a problem just leave the switch in the on position and plug it in at a nearby receptacle or better yet get one of those small cube switches and plug it into your receptacle, plug the lamp cord into that and problem solved.
Hope this helps, and if you want some other ideas let me know. I ended up placing a recessed receptacle behind the picture to solved the problem, but them I'm a gluten for work.

By the way, this is a nice lamp, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Another question i get, yes you can put in on a dimmer switch, i have mine on a dimmer.
The light uses 2 - tube type bulbs. Another heads up, I just grabbed a couple of bulbs at a local store and they have kind of yellow cast to them and haven't checked if I can get a different bulb, and again wall color my be a factor.
More then the question asked but good luck on your project.

is this able to be dimmed?

BEST ANSWER: This picture light cannot be dimmed. Only turned off and on.
This indicates wall mount; can it not be attached to the frame of the painting?
Adrienne H on Feb 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Adrienne H.
"If" your picture frame is like the one pictured on this questionnaire I will say yes. You will need to use the top (2) holes in the mounting plate and your mounting holes will/should be centered at the thickest part of the frame.
In the above frame, which I will assume is wood, drill pilot holes that coincide to the wood screws you are using being careful not to drill thru your frame. Hint...Measure the thickness of the frame and subtract 1/4 inch for your drilling depth. Wrap a piece of tape on your drill bit at your measured depth and then being very careful not to over-tighten and striping the screws out this should work.
I would get the picture hung where you want it first then take it down and install the light.
And another word of caution don't pick the picture up by the light. :-)
I know this is probably more then you wanted to know but just wanted your project to completed without any problems.
Good luck,

Anna P on Aug 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: As long as the light from the lamp reached far enough to light up the books on the shelf there's no reason not to mount it on the book shelf.Enter
