I love the design and profile of this lamp. It looks stunning against my medium gray walls. However, I did find it nearly impossible to use the on/off switch because you cannot reach it from the bottom (the plate that the rods attach to limits access). Reaching around a hot bulb from the top is very difficult. I solved the problem by installing an in-line switch.

We chose this lamp for its contemporary look. We use it on our end table in our family room. It's a little taller than I would like but like the design too much to return it. Love everything about it but the way it turns on. Don't like having to put my hand down into the shade to reach the nob. Needs a button on the side or even better a touch lamp would have been perfect.

Purchased this lamp when we recently remodeled our family room and needed a more contemporary table lamp. I love the design of it. We had a problem with the first one we brought home; the base was all warped and the whole lamp wobbled. Returned it to LampsPlus and they happily exchanged it for another one that wasn't warped and wobbly. Two cons: 1)it doesn't have a 3-way switch, and 2)the on/off switch is difficult to reach. The helpful salesperson sold us an accessory that the lamp plugs in to in order to make the lamp "touchable" to turn on and off. Although this accessory can't be used with a CFL bulb :-( it does turn the lamp with incandescent bulb into a 3-way. Although, when it's on the 2 lowest settings, it tends to hum a bit. But we don't have to put our hand in the shade to turn it on/off---just touch it! I really like the shade that comes with this. It's got some texture to it and this color-blind person kinda sees a little bit of color in that texture too; which totally goes with the colors in our room. I'm pleased with this purchase, just expected a 3-way usable with CFL's for the price. PS...if you don't use the "touch" accessory, you could use a CFL in this lamp.

Switch cannot be accessed from the bottom and is very difficult to access from top when bulb is hot. I had an on-line switch installed a few inches from the base to solve this problem.

Love the design and quality of the brand. This lamp however did not allow enough room between the shade and the switch. The shade will be brushed and potentially soiled every time it was turned on. This lamp could be used on a table though if it were turned on by a wall switch. I took it back right away. [...]

Fabulous big rectangular shade throws plenty of light, looks wonderful (a little tall on the dresser, but that's OK there's a bottom shade for the bulb, no glare!) in our transitional/travel themed bedroom.

A perfect end table lamp in the study. The the angled steel columns mimic the angles and finish of the legs of the desk in the room. Perfect!

This is a very square unit. It works really well in areas where you need the lamp tight to a wall and cannot afford to have a large shade pumping up to it.

I haven’t used them yet ! Although they look great . Waiting on my bedroom furniture to arrive . This Covid issue delays everything . I can see why some of the reviews weren’t great . It is tight when you reach up and try to turn on and off . Over all great price and the looks of them are amazing.

The space between the shade and the base is narrow, so you have to reach the switch from up top---a bit annoying if you're using as a bedside table. Other than that, it's a great lamp

It is difficult to turn the lamp on from the base; I have the lamp on a switch so it is not an issue for me. The lamp makes a statement of its own: Sophisticated, Rich, Alluring, Classy & Sexy!

This product works well in my living room. This corner needed light. The only thing I don't like is that the on/off switch is hard to get to.
