BEST ANSWER: Definitely has a bottom! Can’t see light bulbs. Beautiful light. Gives nice light off and has a modern look to it with an excellent cost. Put one in our front foyer and liked it so much we put one in our back entry also.
Is the 16 inch and the 20 inch the same exact light?

BEST ANSWER: I only ordered one size, but I love it since it’s been installed. Difficult to tell from the photos but I would think the diameter is the difference.

Is any seam visible on either drum when lighted?

BEST ANSWER: Yes there is one strip where the fabric overlaps about 1/4 inch, on both the outer and the inner ring. I just point that side away from the entry way, haven't ever really noticed it. Hope that helps.
Can this be installed using a 4 inch hole in ceiling where previous light fixture was?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, this fixture can be dimmed as long as you are using dimmable light bulbs. A dimmer we would recommend is the Lutron Sylark Contour dimmer which can dim various types of light bulbs and is Style #R4083. I have added a picture and a link below.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it can be, if you use the right LED bulbs. The store staff can advise you on that. We used a set of "warm white" bulbs, which are very bright with a pleasant tone. And, the lamp itself IS beautiful, generating complements from friends.

BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! This fixture has two standard base sockets rated for a maximum 60 watt bulb. Therefore, you can use a standard medium base LED bulb. And, if you want, you can use dimmable LED bulbs with an LED rated dimmer.

BEST ANSWER: I don't think it is suitable for a bathroom unless your bathroom is very large. I have mine over my dining area and it is beautiful.

BEST ANSWER: No, it cannot. The fan blades will get lost by the shades, plus this fixture is simply beautiful on its own. Adding items to it will not be the best thing.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, this fixture is easy to care for and clean. To change the bulbs simply unscrew the decorative screws at the bottom of the fixture to release the diffuser and change the bulbs.
Hi there can your semi flush mounts be used in australia?

BEST ANSWER: Electrical products and bulbs sold through our site are designed for use on the North American 110-volt system only. Items with cords and plugs use Type A or Type B North American plugs. You could purchase it, but you would have to convert the wiring for use in Australia.

understated elegance
absolutely beautiful fixture in our kitchen, we love it. of note, this does NOT take 2 candelabra bulbs, it takes two normal based bulbs (60-Watt max). we were able to fit 1 that was a 100 watt equivalent and one that was 60 watt equivalent, so we get great light! (with the diffuser, you don't notice that one of the bulbs is a lower wattage than the other)

if you use the lampsplus bulb selector, i think that actually does choose the correct bulb for you, but i didn't order those bulbs at the time, b/c they weren't candelabra based as i thought was necessary for this item.

Elegant without being fussy
We installed this in our foyer. It's very elegant, yet not fussy. One thing to note is that there is a seam where the materials meets (similar to a round lamp shade), so you will want to be aware of how you will align the seam as you install the lamp. In our case, the lamp is approached from all sides: entry, kitchen, LR and hallway. That's the only reason I didn't give the lamp a 5. You don't usually think about good or bad side when installing a ceiling fixture. Sufficient light for an entry way.

Beautiful lights
Purchased 16" and 20" for bedroom and living room spaces. Very pleased with the lighting and they look great. Put dimmers on each light.

Beautiful design
I got rid of my builder standard bubble fixtures , and replaced with these. The design is classic, area lit is larger than my old ones, hugs the ceiling, and was so easy to install.

Great fixture!
I looked for the right fixtures for our upstairs hallway for over a year. I was looking for semi-flush drum style, opaque, could hold replacable bulbs, silver finish. On sale, these were the right price point for me since I needed 3 of them. They arrived well-packed. The included installation instructions are minimal, but my husband was able to install them easily. The only thing that wasn't obvious was that the shade has a nut that tightens onto the fixture to keep in securely in place. It took a bit of fiddling to figure that out since it's not in the instructions. Overall, really nice and am happy with how these fixtures changed the look of our upstairs hallway!
