Can u install it by shower?

BEST ANSWER: This ceiling light set is not rated for damp locations. But if you still intend to use it in a bathroom and the area is well ventilated with no build-up of steam or condensation, and if it is not installed over tubs or adjacent to showers, it should be fine.

Just opened the box to have my contractor Install them, did I have to buy another metal piece for installation? He said there should be a metal, flat, x-shaped hanging bracket?

BEST ANSWER: I don't believe so. I use them in my hallway. The hallway has high ceilings and it is perfect there. I love these lights but, for me, I don't believe it's enough light for a kitchen.

How difficult is it to change the light bulbs?

BEST ANSWER: The finial at the bottom of the glass can be removed to drop the glass down. You can then change the bulbs.
I purchased these and saw that they have insulation on top. I don’t like that. Is this necessary, or can it be removed? My ceiling is concrete and does not lead to an attic or anything. I have a lot of flush mounts and never saw this before. Why is it there? Thanks.

can this go outside in a lanai?

BEST ANSWER: I have 8 of these and they are all installed inside of my house. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to be installed in a lanai provided that it is weatherproof. They are stunningly beautiful and even cast small rainbows in my rooms due to the crystals. Good luck to you!
