Are these hardwired or can you use batteries?

BEST ANSWER: They are hardwired. They were installed by an electrician. They are beautiful.
I recommend this company. One of the glass fixtures was broken when it arrived. They replaced it immediately. A very easy fix.
What are the dimensions of the glass globe hight wise?

Can be on a dimmer wall switch?

BEST ANSWER: Sure.. Provided that the bulb you are using supports a dimmer. Not all LED's do.
