BEST ANSWER: Light uses maximum 40 watt or equivalent E12 base type B bulbs (not included). The bulbs in the cart are the LED equivalent.
How do you take care of the shade around the light fixture and will this discolor?

BEST ANSWER: The manufacturer recommends to clean the pendants metal finish with a soft dry cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleansers as it may ruin the finish.
Doesnt look like this comes in black or bronze. Can the white-ish part of the shade be removed so that the metal can be spray painted?

BEST ANSWER: Hi - Generally, the height of a chandelier should be determined by the ceiling height of the room. A good rule of thumb is to allow 2 ½” – 3” for each foot of a rooms height. Based on this rule, a room that has an 8’ ceiling can support a chandelier that is approximately 20” to 24” in height. The rule of thumb when selecting a fixtures width over a dining room or kitchen table, then the diameter of the fixture should be a 1/2 to 2/3 the width of the table. BEST ANSWER: Jan, while I haven't owned this light fixture all that long, less than one year, the shades do not appear to allow for a color change. They are very stiff and look amazing. I could not be happier with my choice.
I'm wondering if it can be used with a dimmer?

BEST ANSWER: The rule of thumb is to select a fixture that is 1/2 to 2/3 the width (not the length) of your table. Measure the width of your table to determine if this fixture will be appropriate. The size of the room is less important than sizing it for the room. And, if you want to size it for the room, you can add the measurements of the room this would easily suit a room that is 12 x 11 feet. (12 +11 = 23" in width). I don't believe this fixture would be too large for the table you are describing!
