Is the lighting both up and down or just down?

BEST ANSWER: Light reflects both up and down creating a lovely glow around and through the chrystal. They are beautiful and have received many compliments!
I'm interested in using as vertical sconce on each side of large mirror in bath. Our concern is with sides being open, will it look good or will you be seeing too much of bulbs and base?

BEST ANSWER: The top and bottom are open, so this would not make a good vertical installation. You would see the bare bulbs and the light would be too harsh.

BEST ANSWER: The light does not have a bottom diffuser. When standing right underneath the light, the bulb swill be visible.

BEST ANSWER: Hello - a light dusting with a soft cloth is all it usually takes to keep this design looking clean. If you need to uninstall it, it is an easy DIY job, or you can have an electrician do it for you.
Is this bright enough to put on make up? Or is the light too scattered and better as an effect but not as a functional type of light?

Love this beautiful light fixture! Easy to install and looks so elegant. Extremely bright lighting, so you may need to remove 1 bulb. Also, might be challenging to clean as there are many separate crystals. Would buy it again. Great price for a very classy look

Perfect Possini Euro Vivienne Crystal Light
This light could not be more perfect for my now glamorous bath area. It looks beautiful even off. When it is switched on, it sparkles like diamonds. I was a little concerned about it not putting out enough light for make-up application with only 4 bulbs, but it is fabulous! It fits great over my new large all mirrored medicine cabinet. Hollywood Glam or Hollywood Regency all the way. I am delighted!

Beautiful and very Hollywood Regency style
Redoing my bathroom in Hollywood Regency and needed an elegant, show stopping fixture. This is it. Lots of light and the crystals refract the light beautifully. One of the bulbs was broken and I took trips to three stores to find a replacement. Hope these bulbs last a long time.
