BEST ANSWER: This ceiling light is not rated for damp locations. But if you still intend to use it in a bathroom and the area is well ventilated with no buildup of steam or condensation, and if it is not installed over tubs or adjacent to showers, it should be fine.

BEST ANSWER: The ceiling lights included halogen bulbs are dimmable with any standard line voltage dimmer. If you plan on using LED bulbs, just be sure the LED bulbs are dimmable and you use an LED rated dimmer.

I have 2 sets of these lights( in 2 bathrooms) and with both fixtures 2/3 lights do not work. We tighten the bulbs-works then after turning off the light and switching on again 2/3 lights are not on.. Anyone else with this dilemma??

BEST ANSWER: Hi Allyssa - That depends on the light bulbs you use with this fixture.

This ceiling comes with six halogen light bulbs that gives off a light output of 500 lumens each, which means the total light output would be a total of 3000 lumens.

However, once these lights bulbs burn out, you would have to get your own replacements.

BEST ANSWER: Hi - It's pretty easy to get at the bulbs. You first twist the aluminum shade counterclockwise until you can remove it, then remove the glass. This will give you access to the bulbs.
Can the cylinder's be tilted down - say at a 30 -40 degree angle? Want it for the small galley kitchen w/ an island on the side.

BEST ANSWER: The tubes can be turned horizontally but not vertically. Mine are facing perpendicular to the center and look like a circle unlike the picture which shows them facing outward.
is the 7 in the size of the base, do the lights hang lower than 7 in?

Nice enhancement to modern decor.
We installed this fixture in our newly remodeled entranceway (that's open to the living/dining room space). The modern look is a real conversation starter. The only downside was the fragility of the glass cylinders and the tricky installation of them (if you overtighten even a little, you will crack the glass). The good news is they include an extra cylinder standard with the product.

Makes your ceilings look higher, stilish
I have a dining area with the 8' ceiling and this light was a fantastic fit.

First off, it really makes the celing look higher, which is nice.

Second, the halogen bulbs produce a very warm light which makes food look better.

Finially, this design goes well pretty much with any modern house.

On the negative side, it needs 6x40=240 Watts, that's a lot comparing to the modern LED or even older CFL lights.

Nice and modern but a little flimsy
The light looks nice and is perfect for my modern room decor however, the glass itself is a very very delicate so you'll have to be VERY careful installing it. If you hold it a little hard, it will shatter.

Great update
We installed this fixture to replace an old flushmount with 6 25 W bulbs. It was hard to find an attractive option that was bright enough for our entryway - this fixture fit the bill. This fixture is even brighter than our old one and definitely more attractive! WE get a lot of compliments on this fixture. My husband was able to install this in less than 1 hr start to finish and he is average skill at handywork:) I am very satisfied with this purchase - we received our order in less than a week.

A tad cumbersome to install but great value
Looks great, good for a boys room. We wanted a decent looking fixture and this one met our expectations. We replaced the halogen lights with LED daylight lights. Installation is a bit cumbersome but its doable. You have to hold the chrome washer when putting the glass enclosure which is uncomfortable when standing. I wish they make it easier.
