BEST ANSWER: Hello, I’m not sure, but I think you’d be fine if you went with a slightly larger rectangle. Not so much larger that it looks top heavy. I really like these lamps as they are solid and not flimsy. Hope this helps!

BEST ANSWER: Hi Carol, lamps are definitely silver. Gold look in pic is the deception of photography (or the bulb used). Finish is matte but may appear shiny at night when lamp is on. Dimensions are essentially accurate. Just measured mine to be sure:
24.5" tall to top of final (23" to top of shade)
9.25" shade height
10x13" at top of tapered shade
11x14" at bottom of tapered shade
I use a 25w bulb (could go lower for the softest mood lighting) as a 40w was intensely bright with the pure white shade. Overall I like these lamps a lot!

BEST ANSWER: The inner part of the shade is (plastic or vinyl-sort of material) covered with a thin layer of material that has a very slight slub every here and there. The slub is not noticeable if you aren't looking very closely and the fabric appears to be almost white. I think the color may appear ivory to white depending on the light bulb you choose. We use 'daylight' color bulbs so ours appear white.

Great lamps!
We LOVE these very stylish table lamps! The ordering / shipping was great. The lamps were packed quite well within one box. Instructions were provided (with pictures/diagrams) how to assemble, which was very easy. My husband and LOVE the switch on the lamps-it is large and very easy to turn on and off. They are stylish and sturdy.
We couldn't be more pleased with the lamps and the whole process with lampsplus.com!

Nice but crooked/shade dented
I like these, as pictured. Nice clean feel, modern look. One lamp is attached crooked to its base though. I was placing it on an angle anyway, in a separate room from it's mate and using my own round shade on it so I don't mind terribly. If you wanted them together in a precise view I think it would look visually off and you might find yourself returning them. Also one shade arrived dented (not badly). I faced it to the wall but then the corner seam of the shade is visible in front. It's not great but it's ok. If they were straight and not dented - in perfect condition- I would love them and give 5 stars. 3 bc they're not in pristine condition.
I like the look of these. Despite excellent packaging one shade has a dent in lower corner.

This is a 25W bulb, creates lovely soft light, 40W was WAY too strong
Still 25W bulb, note there is a heavy line on front left corner of the shade where the seam is.
Shade side w/o seam. Other side of shade has dent/bruise/crinkle -arrived that way slightly damaged.

bought them for my living room but changed my mind and put them in my master bedroom missing finial will try to get one at the store overall nice lamp but smaller then stated on 23''
