BEST ANSWER: Hi, the lamp weighs 5.5 lbs. You will be okay putting it on a shelf on the wall as long as the shelf is properly secured.

For this Edison lantern desk lamp, has anyone discovered a lightbulb to use that isn't glaring? I'm really struggling with that despite loving the lamp. I've gone as low as a 25 watt bulb and it's still too glaring to have right near the people conversing as it shines in their eyes. Suggestions are appreciated !

BEST ANSWER: I would suggest going with an amber tinted bulb to minimize the glare and also use a table top dimmer to control the output depending on your needs. Below you will find a dimmable amber tinted LED Edison bulb as well as a tinted 25 watt regular incandescent bulb. The dimmer will work with both bulbs. Hopefully that will help mitigate the glare you are experiencing.

Very Stylish Lamp
I love this lamp! It looks great on my sofa table. Very nice quality. I would, however, recommend purchasing the amber Edison dimmer bulb and dimmer switch. The bulb that comes with the lamp is very bright and hurt my eyes to look at because the lamp does not have a shade. I purchased them after I received my lamp and so glad I did!
