how big of pendant light for above informal dining area with sloped ceiling?

BEST ANSWER: There are various general guidelines in determining the correct size of a pendant/chandelier over a table. Generally select a fixture that has a diameter that is somewhere between half and three quarters the width (diameter for round table) of the table top. Also have 30”-34” of clearance from the table top to the bottom of the light (adjust as needed for higher ceilings). It says minimum hang height 31 inches, does that mean there has to be 31 inches of chain? Or is that saying since that’s the height that would be minimum hang if you put it directly from ceiling?

BEST ANSWER: Yes . We have it in a vaulted ceiling location in way that it illuminates the whole living room. It would be too big for a dining room situation with an 8 foot ceiling

Fantastic touch for a transitional look.
Love this chandelier. Brings a modern vibe to my home makeover. Everyone has commented on how much they love this chandelier. I was very pleased with the packaging. Always fearful I will receive something damaged when it is shipped. Not so. It looks even better than I anticipated. Extremely pleased.
