Will this light a 16-foot hallway?

BEST ANSWER: You will need to put in 100wt equivalent " LED bulbs" at least and it will light the hallway , but depending where the light is Located in the ceiling ...end? middle? other spot, will determine the coverage area? Also the light temperature meaning 2400 is warm light, 3000-4500 is soft white and 5000 + is bright white light will determine brightness too! and since there is a opace glass on the fixture it will soften the light a bit.

also this is a 16" diameter housing and bigger than most hallway fixture types. But if that is not an issue for you it should work fine...
Would this go okay in a kitchen?

BEST ANSWER: I could depending on the area to cover? also I would use LED Bulbs at 100watt equivalent in a LED light
.And If possible add a LED light dimmer switch to replace the wall switch so you can control the light brightness.
But this is optional.

BEST ANSWER: In my house was installed in ceiling. Elec Wires connect to wires in ceiling. If there are Wired to connect it to in the wall maybe it could be connected there.

Does it give off a lot of light? The room is dark and I am counting on this fixture to illuminate the room. I see it takes incandescent bulbs. Can I substitute LED bulbs and get more light?

BEST ANSWER: Hi - It really depends on the size of the room you are trying to light up. This has a combined 150 watts which should be enough light for most average sized rooms/areas. But, you may also use LED bulbs with a higher incandescent equivalency as well.

BEST ANSWER: You have small cap nuts that you loosen going around the perimeter of the light. They’re just on finger tight, so it’s easy to do. It’s best to hold the glass shade with one hand, while unscrewing the cap nuts. I really like this light, and it has a nice art deco feel.
How does this attach to ceiling? I have an old 13” square recessed light without a cover. I would like something like this if I can secure it to the ceiling outside of the current light. Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Yes. I have mine on a dimmer. I like this style because it works well mixed with contemporarty and transitional furniture throughout my house. I changed -out my old door hardware to oiled bronze hinges and knobs so the look of the ceiling light is consistent- looks great!. The design is thoughtful, clean and looks high-end. Very nice looking light
Mounted to the roof of my Hallway, all by myself. The mounting could be little bit of a pain as you need to get your head pretty close to the roof and at that height there's not much of a headroom to play with. However, once complete, the resulting light looks very beautiful and all worth the hardship in volved in putting this up.
