This and its flush-mount cousins worked great in our 1926 Prairie-style home when we replaced cheap and cheesy lighting from a past remodel. House breathed a sigh of relief when we flipped the switch. Enough Prairie, a hint of Deco to make it work. Needed a little persuasion to align several screws to holes for the glass-cover ring. Finish is more deep-brown, semi-gloss than oil-rubbed bronze like several other lights and fixtures we're using, but worked well just the same. Started with two, then bought three more in this line to give the unity and period-look we craved. Happy now and well lighted.

Our dining room is a throughway, so we have the table off center. The electrical box is centered, however, so we needed a light fairly close to the ceiling. This was it! It coordinates with others already in the house; provides plenty of light; and looks great with its vaguely art-decoish style. Perfect, and no one hits his head!

Looks great, however its a bit tough to install by yourself. It requires you to hold the entire light fixture up while mounting it to the ceiling.

We have the chandelier version of this light as well, and the install was the same.

Nice lines, bright light with this wattage for the entryway. Using it in a 23 yr. old home where the entryway ceiling is only 9 feet tall. So it is the perfect height. Very happy with this product. Went up very easily.

I purchased this ceiling light to replace the fan/light in my husband's office. The difference in the aesthetics is amazing. But the difference in the lighting is most amazing. Instead of a harsh down-light from the ceiling fan light, a warm light now spreads across the ceiling. It's amazing how a ceiling light can transform a room.

This is a great pendant that doesn't hang too low if you have low ceilings. Light distribution is ok but it would have been better with 3 or 4 bulbs with lower wattage instead of 2 for more even light distribution.

I am extremely pleased with this light. I had my eye on it for a long time and when it went on sale, I just couldn't pass it up! We put it in our foyer and it really made an impact there in looks and finish, and it also provided much better light than the dreadful fixture that came with the house. It isn't that difficult to install but my husband said it didn't exactly line up so it was a little tougher than it should have been, so that is a minor con. Otherwise, it came quickly and arrived in mint condition. I love it!
