What are the vertical measure,ents in inches many from the center horizontal post both up and down (I assume this will total approximately 16 inches)? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: The over all height of the wall sconce is 16". From the center rod to the bottom it measures 9" and 7" to the top.

BEST ANSWER: No, unfortunately it does not have an on and off switch. It is a beautiful light. I have a low lightbulb, for now and will have a switch installed later.

BEST ANSWER: I bought 2 of these sconces for my dininf room. They arent real bright The shade is a warm gold filter. They have LED bulbs so you could definately put them on a dimmer!

Elegant French Gold Wall sconces
I purchased this light for my half wall dividing the living room and dining area. It is beautiful, stylish and provides enough lighting in the evening without having to turn on the ceiling light. Similar to having a night light, but instead they are scones. With low lighting, and the tinted gold shade, it makes the entire entrance room cozy, comfortable and inviting so it works great for morning or evening lighting.
