BEST ANSWER: They are glass crystals. Good weight to them. Be sure to read the directions when you are putting them on. Took me three rounds before I put them in correctly. Absolutely beautiful fixture, my entire bathroom sparkles when it’s on. I get many compliments about it how beautiful it looks.
Can the be mounted on the ceiling?

BEST ANSWER: It mounts to a standard electrical box that could be in a wall or ceiling. But, the crystals are hung on hooks that go around each light bulb and may look strange and show the bulbs if hung on the ceiling.Of course design is in the eye of the beholder. I recommend you look at this in a store before making your decision.
how do you attach crystals; do you bend the stem?

BEST ANSWER: It's been a while since I installed them but yes, the decorative metal "stem" as you call it is very flexible so as I recall you thread it through the chrome fixture base and then squeeze/bend it in place to fasten it

Lovely impact
Everyone notices this beautiful light fixture. It gives bright lighting in our windowless powder room. It is the perfect finishing touch to our bath update. Friendly advice: the crystals have to be hung individually so be sure who installs it has patience. That being said, the crystals are the "hard" part as the installation was simple. Definitely worth the effort!

If I could give it more then a 5 star rating I would. It's perfect.
I ordered this light with a tad bit of hesitation only because I could not view it in person and it was pricey. With that being said, I thought it was beautiful and would add the perfect touch to my bathroom. It went on sale for 299.00 a few weeks after I had placed my order online, what a surprise and when it arrived I couldn't have been happier! The pictures online are pretty but don't do it justice. It's absolutely gorgeous in person and I would have been happy to pay the full price had it not gone on sale because it's just that perfect. I definitely recommend this product , I know I will.

BEAUTIFUL!!!
I absolutely love this light. We bought two, one for each side of our master bath vanity. The lights on the fixtures are very bright and white. The crystals sparkle and are rich looking. The chrome actually is so shiny that it looks like a mirror. It really did not take that long to install even with hanging the crystals. Very happy with the purchase.

Absolutely beautiful bathroom bar light. The reason for the 4stars relates to the need for additional lighting once the included lights were used. I would certainly recommend this light to anyone but there should be more bulb wattage.
