Possini Euro Light Blaster™ Energy Efficient Torchiere Lamp

I bought this lamp for my living room. It gives great light which is not too harsh and has three useful light setting. The glass globe is quite large (22"). It is not a lamp you put in the corner that will go unnoticed. My living room area is 20 ft by 12 ft. In rooms smaller than this lamp might appear to be too big.

The lamp made a lovely statement when we first got it. In fact, if I reviewed the lamp earlier on, this would have been a glowing review. However, two and a half years after purchase, the lamp's "brushed nickel finish" is noticeably spotted with rust. We don't even touch the lamp. We turn it on/off with a wall switch. At this price point, I expected a rust free lamp.

This is a sturdy, good looking lamp with great light output. But my particular unit had bad fitting. I had to replace both glass pieces with those from a floor unit because they were warped, too small, or had unfinished rims. The lamp also leaned, which I corrected with a shim. And the light switch is crooked. But I would still recommend the lamp, just inspect the fitting of the glass pieces closely. Even though it is sold as a European design with an Italian name, it is made in China, so that's the kind of quality you get.

This lamp is my major source of light in my sewing and work room. The lamp produces a daylight level of illumination for work time. At low level it is perfect for watching TV or dozing. The design is elegant and non- obtrusive. The look of the lamp is strong and grounded in the room.I have also bought another Possini lamp similar to this one only with the addition of two task lamps for my office. I would purchase this lamp again,perfect in illumination, design and quality.

A very well made stylish lamp that was easy to assemble. The light produced with the included four 26 watt CFL lamps was a little much to the extent that we replaced the included lamps with four 13 watt CFL lamps. Now the level of light is just right with one lit for mood or all four lit for reading.

I bought this lamp primarily as a sewing lamp; I have 10 foot ceilings in a large room so it's easy for light to get swallowed up. This lamp is really perfect for my needs.
It also beautifully made and beautiful to look at.
The heavy base makes it very secure.
I love the four CFL lamps so I can dim it if I choose.
If it weren't so pricey I'd have bought two!

My husband likes light, that is why we have a house with 50+ windows. You can imagine how many lights we have when the sun goes down. This torchiere light is great, with four 26W CFL light bulb, that produces more than 400 watt light. The torchiere has switch to adjust the light to 1,3,4 light bulbs on. When my husband is not around, I turn it to 3 lights on, that is more than enough light.
The design is simple and elegant,the quality is study and well made. Very happy with the product.

We have a 30 x 16 family room with many large windows but our house is surrounded by large fir trees so the room was always dark. We purchased two of these floor lamps and now our room is warm and bright day and night. In the daytime we use either the first or second setting and by night we want lots of light so we use the full four bulb setting. Our friends now comment on how bright and warm the room is. I bought this lamp for a room that has no overhead light fixture. It puts out such great light, and it is every attractive at the same time. It has 3 settings which makes it very versatile as well.

Very good nice addition to our living room

We like it very much. The glass globe is really large but fits into our corner in the living room behind a sectional sofa. It is well made. The instructions in assembling it could be more detailed.

Purchased this item for my home office and appreciate that even though it is an eco friendly light, it illuminates the room with such great light that I can work late into the night reading and working with numbers. All the other torchiere lights I've owned were unsteady and required utmost care to not tip over, this one has a wide, heavy base and will never cause concern.

Possini lamps are very well made and look artistic in design. This lamp is very solid and heavy. All the parts are first class and it's easy to put it together. The lighting is wonderful because you have three choices. Choice one lights one bulb, choice two lights 3 bulbs, and choice 3 lights all 4. Since I moved into a new home office a year ago, I've been making do with a collection of a dim floor lamp + 2 on my desk. Always felt dingy. The "Light Blaster" is as advertised - my 15' x 20' room is now flooded with great light, at any of the 3 settings. Note: the assembly requires careful attention to detail: you need to screw in the metal rim/plate as the next-to-last step, right before installing the bulbs.

This is a tall lamp which I have been searching for.
It’s in my living room where I happen to have textured wallpaper with light sparkles. The light shines upward with perfect warmness. I love it so much. One glitch was the first light had some problem with one light socket. Lampsplus very quickly shipped a replacement.

We needed a bright lamp to replace two old torch lamps this fit the bill just fine. This is as bright as our old lamps with 200 watt light bulbs each (400 watts total)& with less than 125 watts of power. Win win all the way around.

This lamp replaced a Torchiere style lamp which had suffered damage during a move. I love the Torchiere style and am grateful that I was able to find this beautiful replacement.

It's just what I was looking for to bring additional light into the bedroom. Putting it together is not the most intuitive as the instructions are a bit misleading, but once it's done it works well. I like that it has three brightness settings, which allows me to set the appropriate lighting in the room. Overall, a good choice for a fair price.

Somewhat costly, but is a stylish and sturdy product that provides excellent light via energy saving bulbs.

This lamp was recommended by a relative. When I was redecorating my 23X13 living room, I checked Lamp Plus and saw the lamp on sale! I purchased two. They are easy to assemble and provide very good illumination. The short cord limits the distance I can place it away from the electrical outlet. During assembly, I noticed that there appeared to be some rust inside the metal pipes. I am not sure if this will have any impact on the lamps' longevity. I did not research the bulb type, so I was surprised to see that the CFL bulb was of a twist-lock type and not the standard screw-on incandescent type. I ran into a little problem with one of the lamps. The multi-level lamp is supposed to turn on 1-3-4 bulbs. Instead, it was 0-2-3 bulbs. This was a bit discouraging. I then moved one of the bulbs to a different socket and everything worked as advertised. Not sure why this happened, but I would still recommend this lamp to a friend.

A long time. The whole process took a month to finally get my lamp.

This lamp was easy to put together and is extremely well made. It has a really nice heavy weight to all the parts and you can easily see the quality and workmanship. It works beautifully for low light (1 bulb comes on) medium light (3 bulbs come on) and bright light (all 4 bulbs come on).

I really love the lamp and it's very attractive. The design is beautiful and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more Possini products.

The lamp arrived within a few days and was very easy to assemble. I got it for the living room, which has dark paneled walls and a high white ceiling. The lamp works well to illuminate about half the room, which is better than I had hoped. I am buying another light blaster for the bedroom. Highly recommended for dark corners and difficult-to-light rooms.

I purchased two and had to return one for finish/cosmetic defects.

The protection circuit on these prevents using a CFL bulb. In modern times, it does not make sense to sell a lamp where a CFL bulb is prohibited.
