I would say yes. The lamp hangs by cables that would just take their natural shape to gravity. You will need a tremendous amount of patience to adjust the outer steel cables though.

We have this light on our patio. We put in 100 WATT LED bulb. Not super bright but perfect for outdoor ambience and seeing your food. If you want super bright do not by this fixture.

This comes with a 10’ hang cord which is too short for our application as the ceiling is 10’ high. Im looking for the bottom of the fixture to be about 3’ above the dining table. Is there a way to extend the hanging cord?
What is not visible in this picture are 3 very thin metal wires that extend from the ceiling mount to the fixture itself. These can be pulled through the base to get the fixture closer to the ceiling. I would estimate that you can hang the fixture as close as 5-6" to the ceiling.

BEST ANSWER:This light is in my master bedroom and it is a large room. It gives out plenty of light. It has an oversized bulb. I think you would be OK.

I hung this light over my dining Room table and it looks great! It adds just the right modern touch that I was going after and gives off great light.It gathers dust easily so you have to clean it often but it looks so good, I don't mind.
I'm renovating a new-to-me mcm house and replacing all the light fixtures. For my guest bedroom, I wanted something that was appropriate to the era without being a museum piece, something with some POW. Of course, since I'm replacing all fixtures, price was an important consideration, too. This fixture is bold, well-made and beautiful.

It fits our mid-century inspired decor very well. We hung it in our high ceiling hallway and it looks fab. Don't know if it was hard to hang because I paid an electrician do do it. But it's sure a conversation piece. Very happy shopper!!

This light is beautiful, but requires a lot of tweaking. You'd think the manufacturer would have adjusted all the cables and the globe cord so that the lamp would hang level and the globe flush with the frame. After we first got the lamp hung, the globe was hanging a good six inches below the base of the black metal frame. Took the whole (HEAVY) thing down, made all the adjustments, and the glove placement is still not quite right. I can't ask my husband to do that again right now without some serious huffing and puffing...so I'm putting it off for another day. As far as the globe touching the inside of the frame, I keep attempting to adjust the three wire cables ever so slightly, but I cannot get it to hang level so that the inner glass globe is not touching one side of the black metal opening. Honestly don't know if I'll ever be able to get it perfect, which is really frustrating. This should come ready to install!

Beautiful light, tough installation
I absolutely love this light! It’s visually just want I wanted! I will say installation was a bit difficult though so be prepared for that. The wires were installed incorrectly when we took it out of the box and were tangled. My husband had to take it all apart and start over before we could even begin. Hanging it took lots of maneuvering and definitely two people. I was so relieved when it was done :)
I hung this piece in my stairway landing area, and will be using it in a client's home over the living room sitting area. It's much larger than it might seem in photos, and simply a stunning piece! Of all the fixtures I placed in our new home, it is my favorite!
There was something about this light that I loved but I was a little worried it was too "contemporary/modern" for my rustic/country style. I'm happy to say it looks AWESOME!!!! My husband had a bit of a fit installing it (as the other reviews say - you need 2 - 3 people due to the weight) but it is WELL WORTH IT!!!
Perfect functional and statement piece to finish off a space.
Fantastic MCM chandelier. Makes a great but clean line statement. We have it above the dining room table and like the color a lot and the fact that you can essentially see through the iron feature. The globe is fantastic and lets off great light. I suggest a 60 watt dimmsble soft led bulb. 40 watt is too dim, and 100 will not fit in globe and too bright. We find the 60 bright enough for task lighting. We also installed a dimmer switch.
I went to start off by saying this is a beautiful, well crafted fixture. If you're considering this model, keep some things in mind:
1. The opening to the glass shade is narrow and you'll need to get a smaller bulb. I had to get an R16 but the problem is I haven't found one in that size that gives off a decent amount of light. The bulb I have in there now is 500 lumens and it's dim. Keep in mind, I have an eight foot ceiling where I have the light installed and the room is 12' x 18'. I'm still looking for a brighter small bulb. I've tried an appliance-sized bulb and no luck either.
2. The instructions for the attachment of the glass shade could have been better. It took me a while to figure it out and I am fairly handy. Or so I thought.
3. The glass shade was shattered in a trillion pieces when we got it delivered. Lamps Plus had a replacement to us in three days. They provided excellent customer service.
Lamps Plus couldn't have been better about the in-store pickup. They were great with notifying us when it arrived and great about loading it into the car for us.
This fixture replaced an outdated builder quality 6 light chandelier in my dining room. The black metal cage echoes the design of the wenge pedestal table and the front doors of the buffet. I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been very difficult to hang. One of the wires had to be cut as it had been incorrectly attached. the whole thing then had to be releveled. It took the electrician nearly two hours to fix.
This is a beautiful fixture and a real eye catcher. I have it hanging in my dining room. It is very large and quite heavy, so it may take 2 to hang it.

This awesome light hangs high in our foyer. It can be seen from outside through a high curved window. It is so interesting when you see it from both sides. Inside, it looks exactly like the image. Outside, the metal cross pieces make a gorgeous pattern. I couldn't be happier.
It took time to balance the wires and make sure the fixture hung straight. It is such a fabulous look and really makes a presence where ever you put it. It just makes our entry look great.
We are remodeling the house we just bought, so this beautiful lamp is still sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. But, we can tell it is just what we wanted and will make a huge impact. I will update and add a photo when the house is done, if possible. It is well made and super-sturdy. Yay!
Possini Euro Planet 31 1/2 in Wide Black Finish Modern Chandelier
I love, love, love this chandelier. It was just what I was looking for-different. I looked a long time but most chandeliers had the same basic characteristics and I didn't want that. When I first saw this one it was no going back. So I took the leap and glad I did. If you are looking for something classy and different this is the one.
I'm in love! The chandelier can be customized to your preference. It can hang lower and the globe can be raised or lowered as well. Exactly what I was looking for.
This lighting fixture is a class act!! It is well made and really looks good. Not a single person who has been in my house hasn't liked it. It puts out a good amount of light, surprising for such a low wattage bulb.
Got this light for our new pantry and laundry room. Have a very modern "farmhouse" and each room has its own personality though all modern. Perfect look for this space with gray walls, white cabinets and laundry machines and wine cooler. Counters in a black beige quartz that has texture. What a huge improvement and the lamp makes it all work. May 2018
It’s a gorgeous lamp. A bit disappointed in the Quality Assurance however. The lamp came with a kink in the hanging mechanism making it Hang with a tilt. My electrician had to take it apart and reassemble. But it works and looks great once the issue was resolved. 4 star due to the QA only.
After installation, this product looks great? It is exactly how I pictured when buying online. That being said, the installation instructions are horrible!! The basic illustration was more helpful than the instructions were. I'm not sure if they assume everyone has some experience installing chandeliers, I'm glad that I do! Also, the "recommended" light bulb that I spent $12 on doesn't fit into the globe.

Nice chandelier but heavy and having trouble finding a light
I like the look of this chandelier but trying to find a 100 watt bulb that will fit in the enclosure has been difficult. I've tried 2 and both have been to big to fit. If anyone has found one please let me know.
Used as a light over a dining table. Great filtered light source, great design.
Difficult to assemble- lots of tiny parts without great instructions. Difficult to hang- very heavy, took a professional electrician and 2 adult men to hang and an hour to adjust to be level.
