Definitely,it's bright enough ! It's also lovely to look at with a cheery modern look that is not overpowering. We have one of these and are very happy we got it, but since we have had it only a few months, I cannot answer your second question. However, our son, who is an electrical engineer, has said that LED lights don't burn out so quickly as other types of lighting and are sure to last a long time.

Definitely will work. Also can be used with a dimmer switch if wanting to reduce the light level. Not known how long LED light will work - since July 2017, still good.

Unfortunately they cannot be replaced . It is a great light . It is attractive and gives off a lot of light, it should last a long time. But the whole unit would have to be replaced if it fails
The lamp is itself the bulb. It lasts for many years of use, then you buy a new lamp. It is very, very bright and I would recommend buying a dimmer as well.
I don't know of a reason you couldn't use this as a sconce, but check the measurements: this is a really big fixture. That said, it is a fabulous light, and it will MAKE a room.

BEST ANSWER:Hi Betsy! I have used standard, straight-tube fluorescent ceiling lights for years, and I used to have a square fixture with two U-shaped fluorescent tubes in the kitchen. Often these buzz, the ends get dark with age, sometimes they flicker, and the color tends to give an unpleasant green cast to things. Usually I can look at them from directly underneath with no problem or maybe only slight discomfort depending on how new and bright the bulbs are. So far, my Possini Euro White Bloom light doesn't buzz or flicker, has an attractive appearance, has good color (maybe 3000K?), and is extremely bright. Even from an adjoining room I can't look directly at it when it is turned on without considerable discomfort; I can't imagine trying to look at it from directly underneath. While it doesn't cover as much area on the ceiling as a straight-tube fluorescent, the light is cast off in just about every direction but straight up, and since the petals are ovals and are arranged in a large circle, there isn't much shadowing. Hi Betsy, I bought this lED light for my dining room, it is a beautiful light, I believe it will provide enough light , but it also depends on how big your kitchen is, I had my electrician install mine with a dimable switch, so I can make it low in the evening, or full blast at dinner. We replaced our old, fluorescent tube with this LED "daisy" and we are glad that we did. It lights the entire space and there are no shadows or dark corners. We installed a dimmer, and use it often. We get lpts of compliments on this fixture.
We replaced a box fluorescent ceiling fixture with the Possini Euro White Bloom. It lights the whole space well, with no shadows. We put a dimmer on it, so that we can have soft light when we want it. We highly recommend this fixture.
The possini is so bright you may want to also purchase a dimmer for it. It would easily substitute for a 2 light fluorescent, and probably be brighter than a four light one as well.
We have thewhite bloom lamp in our entryway, and when on its brightest (it's dimmable) it gives a good amount of light! Usually we dim it down to have more ambience light.
The Possini Euro White Bloom is very bright. I love it. I had it installed in my kitchen and I get a lot of comments on this design. They want to know where I got it.

I believe its in the 2700-3000 range. It is insanely bright! You dont want to look at it directly, and it would benefit from an led dimmer in most locations.
Very nicely designed fixture. Clean, low profile and works well. Most of the light goes down of course, with some from the sides. Each "petal" has a massive metal heatsink, covered with a long string of LEDs and then a 1/2" thick plastic diffuser. Inside the round box is a good quality LED driver- 70V 1A. Good efficiency too- draws 72W in with 70W out. Light color is pretty warm on full setting, but gets colder if dimmed. Huge amounts of light, as you'd expect from 70Watts of LEDs!
I was looking for a light for my small kitchen and this is bright. Looks great! The only downside is the LED box is too heavy for the mounting bracket provided. This light needs a heavier bracket/
I have had had my eye on this lamp for a while. It is pretty pricey but I found a sale at lamps plus. Brand-new. Install was simple. The light with a proper dimmer varies from as bright as the sun to as dim as a nightlight, and I mean a dim nightlight. Highly recommend.
