Lighting is soft or bright if needed
It's great but I wished it was a little taller. The chain pull is nice. So it's between a chair an couch that way each side has light if needed.

Perfect Lighting Solution
Ordered the lamp for its style and design. I replaced the original shade with an antique fringe shade. Just what the office needed. Very satisfied with the results. LampsPlus is my "go-to" for lighting solutions, past, present and future

Unusable in seating areas but perhaps great for a hallway
Lamp shade arrived with a few scratches. Package is missing the plastic washer at the top. Lamp & shade is nice but it doesn't work for most indoor situations. This type of lamp shade exposes the bulbs underneath and it doesn't matter what kind of bulb you use. If the lamp is near a couch or literally anywhere near a seating area, you will see straight under the shade. This lamp would only work in a place like a walkway where you're not seated below the lamp. It does not work in a living room and that's non-negotiable. LampsPlus could do better to communicate this rather than suggesting to reviewers to just change the bulb. The picture as well shows a seat behind the lamp, suggesting that this lamp would be okay in a living room. This is disingenuous and Lampsplus could do better to help educate buyers on the different types of lamps and their purpose. The lamp itself is great but it's misrepresented.
Can't say that my first experience with this company was positive but I'll consider this a lesson learned the annoying/hard way on interior design or specifically lamp shades. Perhaps this is common knowledge to others but for a first time decorator/lamp buyer this type of thing isn't as immediately obvious.

Classy!
I love this lamp. The light is a gentle glow, even with LED bulbs in it. The only negative is that the pole comes out of the base at a bit of an angle. My husband tried putting it together over and over to get it straight, but no luck. However, with the use of one plastic wedgie under one side of the base, it's straight as an arrow. At first I thought it was the floor that was out of level, but I moved it all over the room and it tilted everywhere. Still, I HIGHLY recommend this lamp.

Shade too short
Beautiful lamp but the shade is way too short. You should not be able to see the light bulbs at the bottom. This is VERY distracting. Plus, it is such a unique shade that I can’t find a replacement. Consequently, the lamp has become just a decorative piece in my living room. I am very disappointed with this shade

Cheaply mad, terrible lighting, overpriced, but easy assembly
I am very displeased with this lamp. I assumed that a "mica" shade would be made of a more glass-like material. The texture of the shade is like a think wafer of plastic or paper. The light that this lamp casts is extremely harsh below the lamp shade, but does emit a warm glow through the shade. It does not cast enough light upwards to provide warmth to a room. The harsh light below the shade really distracts from any positives this lamp has to offer. I am astounded at the price of this lamp. It should be half it's price, and you're basically just paying for a stand. The shade looks and feels worthless. I guess my tastes are just different from most people who gave this lamp more positive views. I advise looking for a different product. I'm planning to return this lamp.

Exactly as described
The Capistrano was the first one I clicked on when I came to the website. It's exactly what I was looking for - style, size, color. It's also exactly as described on the website. It's perfect as fill light in a dim corner of a very large dining room. I'm so glad I ordered it.

Beautiful, but less than sterling design.
LOVED this lamp and was just what I was looking for. BUT. I should have paid attention to the comments already provided RE: light bulb visibility. I so wanted this lamp to work, but can see the light bulbs when sitting across the room and when in a chair next to it. Very distracting, especially for one sitting next to it. So I sadly returned it for a different lamp. There are others that have commented that the lamp works for them so probably depends on your tolerance and where it will be placed. On the bright side, it was very easy to put together and Lamps Plus staff are the best! Consistent superlative customer service. Friendly, no hassle return. One clerk even dashed out the door to help me when they saw me unloading the lamp for return from my hatchback! Wish all stores were as sweet , knowledgeable and helpful.

Great floor lamp
This lamp is perfect for lighting a dark corner in a craftsman living room. I am using two different bulbs, (I think 65 watts) one is clear, which gives more light, the other is vintage, which gives a warmer color. I turn them both on for warm, yet bright lighting. You can adjust for the kind of light you want using different bulbs. The twin pull chain switches add an old fashion touch and allow more options for the amount of light desired. Due to the dark mica shade, the brightest light is cast below the shade. Assembly was a snap. I’m very happy with this mission style lamp.

Works great! Has capability for 2 100 Watt bulbs, so it is very bright!
I like that it was easy to assemble in about 10 minutes. Also, since I can install 2 100 Watt bulbs, the lamp is as bright as I needed for the corner of the kitchen.
