Bought a pair of these and installed in a powder room, When they arrived, the shades were mismatched, so I had to get a replacement shade sent, no big deal. After 5 years of ownership, the silver plate finish has turned dark and tarnished, The paper lampshades have scorch marks/discoloration from the heat of the light bulbs even though the bulbs are the correct type and size and are never on for long periods.

This are attractive and expensive looking sconces. They are modern enough for a contemporary setting, yet look great in a traditional one - we have two of these on either side of our medicine cabinet, and loved the look so much, we bought 6 more to use in a home we are building to put on either side of medicine cabinets in two other bathrooms. My husband is fussy about function over style, while I'm more style over function, and these sconces make us BOTH happy!

My sconces were initially back ordered, but customer service was very helpful always emailing me promptly about the status of the order. The sconces arrived on the day promised and in perfect condition. They were packed EXTREMELY well to keep them safe!

I shopped for months, trying to find sconces for our master bath remodel. These sconces are beautiful and were perfect in our bathroom - until about 2 years after installation when the shades began to discolor and look scorched along the seam lines. We use the correct bulbs and do not exceed the recommended wattage. The lights are never on for extended periods of time. OK, maybe it was a glitch in the design or materials not anticipated by the manufacturer. But both Lamps Plus and Robert Abbey Lighting informed me that since the fixtures are out of warranty (1 year) they could not replace the shades. Robert Abbey offered to sell me new ones at $60 apiece. I have 5 sconces, so do the math! Lamps Plus did offer to sell me new shades at $45 each, but that's still a lot of money to replace shades that have been in use less than 3 years. These were expensive sconces; I expected them to function well and last a long time. VERY disappointing!

Very disappointed with the quality. I had a pair of these in a powder room for 5 or 6 years. The finish is silver, not chrome or nickel, so it slowly darkened from tarnish to the point that people thought they were brass or bronze. We never used chemicals to clean, only dusted on rare occasion, but still the silver tarnished to the point I had to replace them. I kept the recommended wattage bulbs in them. Since they were in a powder room, these lights were rarely, if ever, left on for any real length of time,. But still the paper shades yellowed and developed scorch marks from the heat of the light bulbs.
