A little too gold/brassy. Otherwise, it's beautiful.
The base is a little too gold/brassy, making it look old fashioned. But the glass uplight shade makes up for it and the details in the base are beautiful. I display photos in frames in front of these lamps so the base is not seen, only the shade is visible. This works for me.

canadian returns
I purchased this lamp on Lampsplus.ca assuming they shipped from a Canadian warehouse, It comes all the way from California and thus returns need to be sent there as well. All I can say is pay particular attention to the measurement of this lamp. It is beautiful and the craftsmen ship is wonderful as well but the globe is quite large. The height is fine but the width of it overpowers the base ( my opinion only)! Now to send this back is going to cost me 1/3 of the purchase price !! Live and learn I guess.
