do I have to use halogen bulbs?

BEST ANSWER: That is all we have used and it’s been several months and we have not had to replace any. We also have that light with different colored shells and have not replaced the halogen bulbs in years. Hope this helps
Can this light be used with a remote control?

BEST ANSWER: Sure - Try adding a remote wall light dimmer kit to this ceiling light Style #4X638 which works very well.
Can I install this on a slanted ceiling? How do you tell whether any fixture will look right on a slanted ceiling?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, this light cannot be installed on a sloped/vaulted ceiling. For a sloped or vaulted ceiling you need an item that hangs from a chain or airplane cable.
