My dining room table is not large, it’s about 68 inches long, oval shaped. The ceiling is 9ft. My question is could I use the 6 light fixture, or do I need the 8 light?

BEST ANSWER: There are various general guidelines in determining the correct size of a pendant/chandelier over a table. Generally select a fixture that has a diameter that is somewhere between half and three quarters the width (diameter for round table) of the table top. Rectangular or oval shaped chandeliers can also be chosen based on your individual taste and shape of your table as well. Also have 30”-36” of clearance from the table top to the bottom of the light (adjust as needed for higher ceilings). How close to the ceiling can I hang this light? My ceiling is nine feet high and this will hang down in the middle of the room so I need 7 ft clearance from the floor to the bottom of the light. CanI make this work?

BEST ANSWER: The chandelier itself is 32" high. You could shorten it to about 6-12 inches of chain.

BEST ANSWER: This chandelier comes with 6-feet of chain and 10-feet of wire. It can't be extended beyond that. But you will have what you need to use that length.

Delivered quickly - packaged amazingly well. It's heavy... there is no wood - it's treated metal. I was surprised but it works well. See pic!!
