In reading the answer to one of the other questions below, this fixture is available in an up and down light version. If this is the case, could it then be mounted vertically? We are interested in a vertical application of one of these lights between two mirrors in our bathroom. Thanks,

I purchased and installed this fixture. Love the look but the light only seems to be coming downward. Is there a protective coating on the other side of the glass that has to be removed?

BEST ANSWER: Hi - I have confirmed this model features a down-light only and not an up-light/down-light as indicated on our website. I do apologize and our website will be updated shortly. Also the light includes a white adhesive film and a transparent protective film. Do not remove the white adhesive film, but you can remove the transparent protective film. This model is also offered with an up and down light. If you would like to return the one you have and order the other option, please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance on availability and pricing for the up/down light option.
1) if you choose the option for uplight AND downlight, does that make the downlight noticeably dimmer? 2) Any other advice or experience as to whether to choose downlight only, or downlight + uplight configuration?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the light will project the same amount of light up and down. There is no way to adjust the downlight or up light individually.
I'm looking for a really good source of light by which to apply make-up. Does this fixture give off what seems like bright natural daylight?

BEST ANSWER: This fixture offers 3000K color temperature. People usually view that as more white than 2700K color temperature which is seen as more yellow. If you are looking for a whiter light, this lamp will be good for you. In terms of LED color temperature "daylight" actually is defined as within the 5000-6500K range, so this lamp would not provide "daylight" color temperature.

Great fixture but website was misleading
Love the look of the fixture and the light it gives off, but the website indicated upward and downward light erroneously. It only shines downward. Probably won't return it for a dual direction light - don't have the box and it's already installed.
