BEST ANSWER:I have added one below similar in style.
I read on amazon that this should not be used outdoors unless covered. So on garage where it rains is not okay. Is this true?

BEST ANSWER:This is absolutely fine to be mounted to your garage exposed to water. It is just not recommended for coastal areas where it might be exposed to salt air or water.

I have them on my guest house, they are not covered and they are fine. I put an Edison light bulb in them and they are cute and perfect low light for night!
