BEST ANSWER:I had the same concerns when I purchased the lamp. It truly will work in both color schemes and time of day will cast the colors a bit differently. I think it goes with the green beautifully. I actually ended up purchasing a second one for the same room. The lamp has substance and I have received many compliments. I hope this helps.

The color is very close to the picture but sort of changes depending on the lighting...maybe more on the teal side than true green. Love this lamp and am so glad I purchased it. I have three other Uttermost lamps and they are all very well made and unique.
I had ordered, and received, this lamp a month or so ago and liked it so much I ordered a second, for another table. Excellent lamp and fits my room very well.
