BEST ANSWER: It’s not a reading light, so it depends on how much light you need. Otherwise, this is a fantastic looking lamp. It stands out and it does add light to the room.

Ordered on-line and just received it 03-08-19. EXCELLENT craftmanship. 10*'s to Franklin Ironworks Artisans. No flaws. Mica shade is Beautiful and love the way it is bordered making it unique from ordinary lamp shades. View shade pics and zoom for best view of bronze color and verdigris. Verdigris coloring is subtle. Base is weighted just right. Cord is black and light has single light switch as stated. 60 Watt bulb was shipped with lamp. No foot pc in cord to turn on. Description accurate. Please consider making it in BLACK. Packing excellent. Outside box could have been taped a bit better. Great service from FedEx delivery. Thank You Lamps Plus for Great on-line experience and product.

Purchased this lovely lamp for a room furnished with a walnut baby grand piano, lots of bookshelves, a couple of cozy leather chairs, some antiques, and a large bay window. We were looking for a floor lamp to pull everything together. This lamp is stunning; much more impressive in person than online. The Mica shade is extraordinary and casts a beautiful, relaxing glow throughout the room. This is a quality piece.
