Want to see how Cher has lived through the years? Architectural Digest recently took a look back at her homes, starting in the 1970s and ending with her 2010 hillside L.A. duplex.
From the article, her Bel Air home in the '70s had a vast sitting room done in heavy Italian antiques and bright florals...and browns. I'm getting a flashback to a Fantasy Island episode.
The 1980s New York home is all animal prints and '80s minimalism. I'm seeing Charlie Sheen in Wall Street.
Flash to 2010 and her cool home in the hills. It's done in inviting super neutrals with animal print accents and dark wood furniture.
Lynda Gould, our own in-house designer, liked the room so much she used it as the inspiration for a photo shoot she recently did (see above).
She used a stone tile floor, as in the Cher home, a lightly textured wall, dark wood furniture, and a neutral thick-shag rug on the floor. The exotic animal print motif comes from the jar accent on the table. Very nice!
The room uses the Kathy Ireland Villa Roma Table Lamp. On the lamp page, click "In Scene" to view all the items in the photo.
