Mad Men fans - did you catch Don Draper's new digs? His swanky apartment on Manhattan's Upper East side boasts stunning Mid-Century design, taking inspiration from the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. But my favorite part of this new space is by far the lighting - especially the stunning blue and white striped swag chandelier that balances the asymmetrical fireplace and creates a focal point in the room. I love its clean lines, vintage styling, and unexpected color palette - and I think it's time that the swag makes a comeback! I've rounded up a few of my favorite Mad Men-inspired swag chandeliers to start the retro revolution:
1. Seeri Double Swag Pendant Light 2. Swag Style Kalahari Lines Plug-In Chandelier 3. Granada Polished Brass Pendant Swag Light 4. Swag Style Wood Grain Giclee Shade Plug in Chandelier
5. Stacy Garcia Arno Daybreak Giclee Plug-In Swag Chandelier 6. Stacy Garcia Lexington Stripe Avocado Plug-In Swag Chandelier 7. Stacy Garcia Porthole Giclee Plug-In Swag Chandelier 8. Swag Style Retro Dots & Waves Shade Plug-In Chandelier

Hi. I’m Lesley. I’m a collage artist and interior stylist. Common advice tells me to pick one discipline and focus on it – but I’ve never been known for being common. I make beautiful things and create beautiful spaces, because surrounding yourself with beauty and inspiration just makes life better. Your home and the things in it should feel effortlessly mixed and matched, with just a little bit of weird thrown in. The unexpected keeps life interesting.
My design talents have been showcased as a junior designer at Kimberley Seldon Design Group (Toronto); project manager at Studio La Beauté (Toronto); showroom manager at Reid & Lyons Designer Trimmings (Toronto); freelance designer at Burnham Design (Los Angeles); and interior design stylist at Lamps Plus and 55 Downing Street (Los Angeles).
