Check out this New York Times article about a pair of Korean American designers who have created a cool and sophisticated oasis of style in their Jackson Heights, Queens, apartment.

"The apartment has a distinctly Korean atmosphere...During the couple’s Korean wedding trip, they bought several pieces of antique furniture, among them a 19th-century chest studded with iron hardware, a low scholar’s table that now does duty as a television stand, and an armoire made of Korean pine, notable for its densely detailed grain."

I especially like the look of the traditional cabinets mixed with contemporary sofas, and the use of contemporary floor lighting accents.
