Broke within 3 days
The joint between the main straight pole and the adjustable portion is where all the stresses occur -- we didn't move the adjustable part very much at all but within 3 days the metal joint broke, rendering the lamp useless. Ended up throwing it away, felt pretty bad about adding more crap to landfills and wasting money.
