BEST ANSWER: I have no picture to share. However, I just looked at my lamp. The interior (where bulb is) is pure white. Additionally, there is a mirror-like reflective area too. I have an "old fashioned" 60 watt bulb in the lamp, which is probably the maximum (as I usually put in the most wattage possible). The lamp does get rather warm when in use. I like this lamp a lot as it gives off a lot of light. It is great for reading.
does this floor lamp in particular or any floor lamp in general work on carpeting versus hardwood or laminate flooring?

The lamp is perfect!
Sits next to my husband's recliner as he reads or watches TV. It is easy to adjust away or towards, up/down, on/off.
