It allows you to run a lamp outdoors or anywhere you don't have an outlet. Charge the base first - a full charge will take around four hours. Then swap out the existing bulb in your lamp for a low-voltage 5 watt bulb, such as the one that comes included. Then plug your lamp into the battery pack base for a full 8 to 10 hour run time.
