I received this lamp just yesterday. I ordered it on Monday. Since the shipping was free, I expected to wait the full 30 or so days for shipping. I was totally surprised to have gotten it so quickly. And I am so happy with it. The small size is exactly what I needed to add the just right detail to a small chest and photo. It's perfect.

Only 17.5 inches from the base to the top of the shade. When I saw 18 inches high in the description, I assumed from the base to the top of the metal area where the light bulb is inserted.
Bought a pair to place on my fireplace mantel and they look wonderful. Have them set up on a timer and with low wattage bulbs, creates a nice soft light into the room.
