best inexpensive lamp I ever bought.
When the lamp came, I was surprised that the arm couldn't be raised to a vertical position. Many of the pictures you see are at about the maximum height the lamp can go. However, that places the bulb at about the '55 inch' height above the floor as is stated in the ad.
I've had the lamp for over a year (use it to illuminate my piano keyboard) and it seems very substantial for the price. It shows no hint of tarnishing.
